Today is the day!
First open workout comes out tonight. I tought class this morning it was outstanding as usual! I love starting my day out with a motivated group of 6am CrossFitters. I was in bed last night by 8:30pm closed my eyes and opened them to my alarm at 5am. I did not wake up once throughout the night. I feel refreshed and motivated today. My calf feels about 80% and if I have to use it I'm going to make it happen. After reading the post from cathletics I may dabble with NSAIDs once or twice a week for the open, not sure yet but being used to taking them on a regular basis during my basketball career is a confidence booster that I will not have negative short-term effects.
I am writing from my cubicle desk job at IDOT today. My hip flexors are all I can think about most of the day sitting here short in the front long in the back not a mullet my hipfelxors and glutes.. A slow death for athletic performance. I have been offered a part time position with Lincoln Land Community College as the Fitness Center Coordinator. It has been an interesting time of my life, I have had to make some big life changing decisions recently. This is one of them and I'm going to do it! I have decided at the age of 26 I still have time to work toward my dreams and make my life instead of watch it go by. It is scary but also motivating!
